You can scan photographs using ScanSnap by placing them in a Carrier Sheet or a Photo Carrier Sheet.
Note:
- The Photo Carrier Sheet is an optional accessory (sold separately) and is available only for iX1600, iX1400, iX1300, and iX1500.
- ScanSnap SV600 can scan photographs without using a Carrier Sheet or a Photo Carrier Sheet.

Scanning photographs directly (without using a Carrier Sheet or Photo Carrier Sheet) with ScanSnap (except for SV600) may result in the following issues:

Scanning photographs directly may scratch or damage the surface of the photographs. -
Paper feeding and transport issues:
Since photographs do not conform to the paper specifications for ScanSnap, we cannot guarantee proper feeding and transport, or the same performance as standard paper.
