1. ScanSnap Home license
Connecting ScanSnap to a computer automatically activates the license so that ScanSnap Home is available to be used.
[When using ScanSnap Home version 2.10 or later]
ScanSnap Home 2.10 or later does not require license activation. An unlimited number of computers and mobile devices can be used.
You can use ScanSnap Home freely and more flexibly without stressing about limits on user licenses when using it with multiple users, or limits on devices when using it on multiple PCs or smartphones.

[When using ScanSnap Home version 2.9 or earlier]
The number of licenses varies depending on the model of your ScanSnap.
- For iX1600 and iX1500, four user licenses are available per ScanSnap unit.
- For iX1300, iX1400, iX500 (including ScanSnap Evernote Edition), iX100, S1300i, SV600, and S1100, one user license is available per ScanSnap unit.

2. ScanSnap Manager license
Note: ScanSnap Manager is no longer supported as of November 2024.
When using ScanSnap Manager V4.x or later
One ScanSnap Manager license is available per user.
The same user can install and use the software on multiple computers.
When using ScanSnap Manager V3.x or earlier
ScanSnap Manager can only be installed on one computer.
3. License for bundled software other than ScanSnap Home and ScanSnap Manager
Note: ScanSnap Organizer and CardMinder are no longer supported.
The software bundled with ScanSnap, such as ScanSnap Organizer and CardMinder, can be installed on only one computer regardless of the model of your ScanSnap.
Only when you change the computer due to computer failure or replacement, you can obtain the software from your setup DVD or download it from the driver download page and install it on the new computer.
4. Licenses for Kofax Power PDF Standard and Kofax Power PDF Standard for Mac*
One license is available per user.
You can install the software onto two computers as long as the software is not used on the two computers at the same time.
We do not sell the licenses. If you want to install the software on three or more computers, purchase the licenses separately from the Kofax online store or other sources.
