I cannot uninstall the ScanSnap application from Windows.

If either of the following applies, download and run the uninstall tool “SSHomeClean.exe.”
For details on how to use the tool, see the [Steps] below or Installation Information Cleanup Guide for ScanSnap Home.

• ScanSnap Home or ScanSnap Manager still appear in the list of installed applications even after you have uninstalled the app from Control Panel or by another method.
• During installation of ScanSnap Home, a message appears saying the ScanSnap application has not been completely uninstalled.

Tool for Removing Installation Information

[Attention] This tool forcibly deletes the registration information (registry entries) for the selected product. Do not use this tool except for troubleshooting. If both “ScanSnap Manager” and “ScanSnap Home” appear in the product list when the tool starts, be sure to uninstall both of them.

[Steps]

1. Download “SSHomeClean.exe”, then start it by selecting [Open file] or by opening “SSHomeClean.exe” from your Downloads folder.
    
2. Select the installation entries that start with “ScanSnap”, and delete them all of them using the [Remove] button. You cannot remove multiple items at the same time, so delete them one by one.
   
    
3. Each time you delete installation information, the message “Successfully removed.” appears. Click the [OK] button.
   
    
4. Delete all items, then click the [Close] button.
   
    
5. Make sure to restart the computer instead of shutting it down.
