Yes, you can convert images into Excel, Word, or PowerPoint files using ScanSnap Home.
[Preconditions]
- ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap is installed on your computer.
From this driver download page, select your model and OS to display the list of software. You can then download "ABBYY Fine Reader for ScanSnap". - Your user registration and license authentication for Microsoft Office are complete so that Microsoft Office can be used.
- Images are scanned with the ScanSnap and saved as a PDF file.
Select your operating system and follow the instructions.
Note: This section describes an example of converting an image into an Excel file.
Windows
[Procedure]

- Click the Windows [Start] menu > [ScanSnap] > [ScanSnap Home]. The main window of ScanSnap Home appears.
- Right-click an image in the content data record list view in the main window.
- Select [Send to] > [ABBY Scan to Exel(R)] from the menu that appears.
- When the conversion is complete, Excel is started and the conversion result is displayed.
- Click the Windows [Start] menu > [ScanSnap] > [ScanSnap Home]. The main window of ScanSnap Home appears.
macOS
[Procedure]
- Select [Go] > [Applications] from the Apple menu, then double-click [ScanSnap Home.app] to start ScanSnap Home. The main window of ScanSnap Home appears.
- In the content data record list view in the main window, click an image while holding down the [control] key on the keyboard.
- Select [Send to] > [ABBY Scan to Exel(R)] from the menu that appears.
- When the conversion is complete, Excel is started and the conversion result is displayed.
