After a scan by ScanSnap Home, a folder with the same name as the user name is created in the [tmp] folder and scanned data is temporarily saved in the created folder. This message is displayed when the folder fails to be created.
By updating macOS or changing the privilege for the [tmp] folder to "Read & Write", this message will not be displayed.

[Updating macOS]
- Update macOS.
- After macOS is updated, close all windows, restart macOS, and check that the system is running normally.
If the problem still persists after the above operation or macOS cannot be updated, perform the following procedure.
[Changing the Privilege for the [tmp] Folder]
- Click any place where there are no icons on the desktop to display the menu bar for Finder.
- Select [Go] - [Go to Folder] on the menu bar.

Enter "/private" in [Go to the folder] and click [Go].
- The following [private] folder is displayed, while pressing the [control] key on the keyboard, click the [tmp] folder in the [private] folder and select [Get Info].
- The following information window for the [tmp] folder is displayed, if there are access permissions for [Privilege] not set to [Read & Write] in [Sharing & Permissions], click the padlock icon in the lower-right, enter the password used to log in to macOS, and click [OK].
- Click an access permission with [Privilege] not set to [Read & Write] and change the privilege to [Read & Write].
In the screenshot shown below, the permission in [Privilege] is set to [Read only], so change it to [Read & Write].
- Make sure that [Read & Write] is set for all [Privilege] and click the [X] button to close the window.
- Close all windows and restart macOS.
Check that the system is running normally.
