If multiple pages are scanned together but saved on your computer as separate files instead of a single PDF file, change the profile settings as follows:
- Select [All sheets will be scanned as documents] for [Document type detection].
- Select [PDF (Single) (*.pdf)] for [File format].
| Attention: Profiles (scan settings) linked to cloud services Only "PDF" or "JPEG" can be selected as the file format. When using ScanSnap Cloud, only the setting to save multiple scanned pages as a single PDF file is available. However, depending on the type of document or the cloud service configured, each page may be saved as a separate file. |
See the steps below to change the settings.
Note:
The screen examples shown are for Windows. The same steps apply to macOS.
[Steps]
- Start ScanSnap Home
.
For start instructions, see How can I start ScanSnap Home.
- Click the [Open scan window] button in the top left corner of the window.
- In the [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window, click the [Edit profiles] button in the top right corner.
- Select the profile in use from the profile list.
Example: “Quick Menu”
- Select [All sheets will be scanned as documents] for [Document type detection].
[Important]
If [Automatically detects the document type as "Documents", "Business Cards", "Receipts", or "Photos" and scans the document with the appropriate scan settings], scanned items are automatically classified as documents, business cards, receipts, and photos. As a result, scanned data may be saved separately by document type instead of being combined into a single PDF file.
- If the following message appears, click the [Yes] button.
- Select [PDF (Single) (*.pdf)] for [File format].
- Click the [Save] button in the lower-right.
- In the [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window, select the profile whose settings you changed, and then scan multiple pages.
Check that the scanned pages are saved as a single PDF file.
