You can download [Offline Installer] for ScanSnap Home using a computer that is connected to the internet and then install ScanSnap Home on another computer.
[Preparation]
- Connect a portable external data storage device such as a USB flash drive to a computer that is connected to the internet.
Note: Hereinafter, a portable external data storage device such as a USB flash drive is abbreviated as a "data storage device". - Open the connected data storage device in File Explorer and create a new folder.
Note: "ScanSnap" is used as the folder name in this example.
Click the operating system currently in use to jump to the procedure for the operating system.
- Access the following website on a computer connected to the internet.

A window for downloading drivers is displayed.
- Select the scanner model in Step 1, select the OS for the computer that you want to use ScanSnap Home on in Step 2, and then click the [Display software list] button in Step 3.
If you are using a discontinued scanner model, scroll down and select your scanner model.
A window for downloading the driver for the selected ScanSnap is displayed.
- Under [Those using ScanSnap Home], click offline installer in [If you are installing ScanSnap Home onto a computer without a network connection, use the offline installer.].
The ScanSnap Home Offline Installer window appears.
- Click "Download" next to "ScanSnap Home Offline Installer x.x.x".
A window for downloading "ScanSnap Home Offline Installer x.x.x" is displayed.
- Click "WinSSHOfflineInstaller_x_x_x.exe" under "[Download] ScanSnap Home Offline Installer x.x.x" to download it.
- After downloading is complete, open the save destination in File Explorer.
Note: The default save destination is the "Downloads" folder.
- In File Explorer, copy "WinSSHOfflineInstaller_x_x_x.exe" by dragging and dropping it into the "ScanSnap" folder that you created beforehand in the data storage device.
- After copying is complete, safely remove the data storage device and connect it to the computer that is not connected to the internet.
- Open the data storage device on the computer that is not connected to the internet and then save the "ScanSnap" folder by dragging and dropping it into an easy-to-find folder such as the Desktop folder.
- Open the "ScanSnap" folder, execute "WinSSHOfflineInstaller_x_x_x.exe", and follow the instructions displayed in the window.
[macOS]
- Access the following website on a computer connected to the internet.

A window for downloading drivers is displayed.
- Select the scanner model in Step 1, select the OS for the computer that is not connected to the internet in Step 2, and then click the [Display software list] button in Step 3.
If you are using a discontinued scanner model, scroll down and select your scanner model.

- Under [Those using ScanSnap Home], click offline installer in [If you are installing ScanSnap Home onto a computer without a network connection, use the offline installer.].
The ScanSnap Home Offline Installer window appears.
- Click "Download" next to "ScanSnap Home Offline Installer x.x.x".
A window for downloading "ScanSnap Home Offline Installer x.x.x" is displayed.
- Click "MacSSHOfflineInstaller.dmg" under "[Download] ScanSnap Home Offline Installer x.x.x" to download it.
- After downloading is complete, open the save destination in Finder.
Note: The default save destination is the "Downloads" folder.
- In Finder, copy "MacSSHOfflineInstaller.dmg" by dragging and dropping it into the "ScanSnap" folder that you created beforehand in the data storage device.
- After copying is complete, safely remove the data storage device and connect it to the computer that is not connected to the internet.
- Open the data storage device on the computer that is not connected to the internet and then save the "ScanSnap" folder by dragging and dropping it into an easy-to-find folder such as the Desktop folder.
- Click the "ScanSnap" folder, execute the "MacSSHOfflineInstaller.dmg" program, and follow the instructions displayed in the window.
