If you change the scan settings on the touch screen (LCD) of the ScanSnap or on the [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window on the computer, the settings will be temporarily changed, but will return to their original settings after the scan.
If you want to scan documents under the same settings all the time, change the scan settings in the [Edit profiles] window.

- Click the [Scan] button in the top left corner of the window.
The [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window appears.
- Click the [Edit profiles.] button
in the top right corner of the window.
The [Edit profiles] window is displayed.
- Select the “profile” that you are using from the profile list.
Note: The "ScanSnap Home" profile is used as an example.

Select [All sheets will be scanned as documents] from the [Document type detection] list.The setting for [Document type detection] will be changed to [All sheets will be scanned as documents].

Under [Scan settings], select [Simplex] from the [Scanning side] list.The scanning side setting is changed to [Simplex].

Click the [Save] button in the lower-right corner.

In the [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window, select the “ScanSnap Home” profile, and click the [Scan] button.Documents will be scanned on one side.
Subsequent documents will also be scanned on one side.
