“The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)” is displayed. The following explains how to resolve this.

The Microsoft program required for "ScanSnap Home" to function properly may be missing or corrupted.
Install the necessary program (Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime) using the following steps.

1. Click here to download “VC_redist.x86.exe”.
   Note:
   “VC_redist.x86.exe” is part of the auxiliary programs necessary for Windows operation and is typically updated automatically via Windows Update.
   For details, see the Microsoft website for the latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable packages.
2. After downloading, run the file (for example, by selecting “Open”).
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
4. After installation completes, restart your computer.
   Make sure to restart your computer, not shut it down.
5. After restarting, start “ScanSnap Home” and check that scanning works correctly.

If the problem still persists, please try the following procedure as well.

1. Uninstall “ScanSnap Home”.
