There are several reasons why the [Scan] (Scan/Stop) button may stay blue and ScanSnap Cloud may be unavailable.
Check the following items.

Update the ScanSnap firmware to the latest version.

- Restart your wireless router.
Restarting the router may resolve temporary issues with the router (such as freezing).
Note:
- If you use a main router and an additional router (or extender), try restarting both devices.
- For restart instructions, refer to your wireless router’s manual or contact the manufacturer.

Have you switched ScanSnap Home to Cloud Mode on your computer?

Reset the Wi-Fi information, and then set up Wi-Fi again.

While connected to ScanSnap Home for iOS/Android, did you switch to Cloud Mode?
- In ScanSnap Home for iOS/Android, have you added your ScanSnap to the ScanSnap Cloud Service?
Have you switched ScanSnap Home to Cloud Mode on your computer?
| The issue may be resolved by temporarily connecting the ScanSnap to your computer with a USB cable and performing the following steps. After the issue is resolved and the [Scan] button turns purple, disconnect the USB cable. |

- Start ScanSnap Home.
Note: For details on how to start the application, see How can I start ScanSnap Home?.
- Click the [Open scan window] button.
- In the following window, click the
icon to switch to Cloud Mode.

Tap the icon to switch to Cloud Mode.

If you are prompted to add the ScanSnap to the ScanSnap Cloud Service, follow the on-screen instructions.
In ScanSnap Home for iOS/Android, have you added your ScanSnap to the ScanSnap Cloud Service?
If the [Scan] (Scan/Stop) button does not turn purple even after switching to Cloud Mode, the ScanSnap may not have been added to the ScanSnap Cloud Service.
See the following procedure to add it.
[Procedure]
- Start ScanSnap Home on your mobile device.
- Tap the
button in the upper left corner.
- Tap "Scanner".
- Tap the target ScanSnap.
- Tap "Add to ScanSnap Cloud Service".
Enter your ScanSnap account password.
When "All settings are complete" appears, return to the "Cloud" screen on the home screen and confirm that you can scan.
