If folder assignment fails, one of the following error messages appears in the window.

Failed to assign the folder. ScanSnap Home folder, the parent folder, or the sub-folder of the ScanSnap Home folder cannot be assigned.

Failed to assign the folder. ScanSnap Home folder, the parent folder, or the sub-folder of the ScanSnap Home folder cannot be assigned.
[Cause]
The folder you specified is the ScanSnap Home folder specified in the ScanSnap Home preferences, or its parent folder or subfolder. These folders cannot be selected for assignment.
[Solution]
- Assign a folder other than the ScanSnap Home folder or its parent folder or subfolder.
- To display subfolders in the ScanSnap Home folder, select "Refresh Selected Folder" from "View" in the main window.
Failed to assign the folder. The specified folder is already assigned.
[Cause]
This is due to one of the following. These folders cannot be assigned in addition to the folder that is already assigned.
- The same folder is already assigned.
- A parent folder or subfolder of a folder that is already assigned.
[Solution]
- Assign a different folder.
- To display subfolders of a folder that is already assigned, select "Refresh Selected Folder" from "View" in the main window.
