Start up ScanSnap Home.
- Click the [Scan] button in the top left corner of the window.
The [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window appears.
- Click the [Add new profile] button in the top right corner of the window.
The [Add new profile] window is displayed.
- Select the [Save documents] template from the Business category on the left.
- Change the [Profile name] on the right to a recognizable name such as [Save split file].
- Make sure that [PDF(*.pdf)] is selected for [File format] in [Scan settings] on the right, and then click [Option].
The [PDF file option] window is displayed.
- Click [Create a PDF file per number of specified sheets] for the [PDF page split] setting and make sure that "1" is selected for the number of sheets.
- Click the [OK] button in the lower-right corner to close the [PDF file option] window.
- Click the [Add] button in the lower right corner of the window.
The [Save split file] profile is added to the [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window.
- In the [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window, select the [Split file save] profile, and click the [Scan] button.
*As an example, three documents are set in the scanner and scanned.
The PDF (file) is scanned and split into three separate files.
The procedure is complete.

- Start up ScanSnap Home.
- Click the [Scan] button in the top left corner of the window.
The [ScanSnap Home - Scan] window appears.
- Click the [Add new profile] button in the top right corner of the window.
The [Add new profile] window is displayed.
- Select the [Save documents] template from the Business category on the left.
- Change the [Profile name] on the right to a recognizable name such as [Save split file].
