This happens because ScanSnap scanners operate with ScanSnap Manager/ScanSnap Home, a specially designed driver that does not support TWAIN or ISIS™. Therefore, it does not appear as a source in applications supporting TWAIN / ISIS™ and cannot be used with such applications.
Although you can specify an application to view the saved image after scanning, it may not display the image correctly, depending on the application.
You can check whether a specified Windows® application can display your scanned image data correctly. The steps below explain how to check if an application supports JPEG file format.
-
Create a shortcut to the application you want to add.
-
Drag and drop any JPEG image file (*.jpg) on the shortcut you created.
If the application launches and opens the file, it supports JPEG file format.
