If the document has the text written up to the edge of the page or the image is the same color as background, the ScanSnap may not be able to detect the shape of the document, and part of the background pad remains or part of the document does not appear in the scanned image. In this case, follow the instructions below to manually modify the crop area:
-
Select [Crop and save flat document images as-is] and click the [Check/Correct] button on the dialog that appears after the document is scanned.
-
Select the crop area of the scanned image to change the crop area.
-
Drag the operating points of the crop frame to change the crop area.
-
Click any position on the dialog box to confirm the cropped area.
-
When you have completed changing the crop area, click the [Save and Exit] button.
Select [Correct and save double-page spread document images (book/magazine)] and click the [Check/Correct] button on the dialog that appears after the book is scanned.
The [ScanSnap Manager - Book Image Viewer] dialog box appears. Select the page to correct the distortion in [Final image].
For details, refer to "Correcting Distorted Book Images" in the "Correcting the Scanned Images" on the Basic Operation Guide.
