Why are the scanned images saved in different color mode, color, black & white, and gray?

It may be caused by selecting "Auto color detection" from [Color mode] in the [scanning] tab in the ScanSnap setup dialog box.
Select the mode that you would like to save the image from the [Color mode] drop-down list.
