If the [Dust detection] notification is displayed even though the glass sections inside the ScanSnap have been cleaned and do not look dirty, glue(*) may have stuck to the glass during scans.
(*) Glue is used to bind the pages of books or magazines. Glue on the glass is often difficult to see because it is transparent or faint in color.
Glue is difficult to remove by wiping with a dry cloth. Please wipe the glass slightly harder with a soft cloth (such as a lens cleaning cloth) moistened with Cleaner F1 or dehydrated ethanol.
Wipe intensively the spots indicated in red by your scanner.
If vertical streaks appear in a scanned image, also wipe the spots related to the vertical streaks intensively.
