When ScanSnap iX1300 cannot establish a connection to a wireless access point, the ScanSnap can connect directly to the computer via Wi-Fi.
[Procedure]
Note:
This feature requires your computer to have Wi-Fi capability.
If iX1300 is turned on, close the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn it off.
When iX1300 is connected to a computer via a USB cable, disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
If iX1300 is turned on, close the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn it off.
When iX1300 is connected to a computer via a USB cable, disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
- Open the cover while holding down the WPS button on the back of iX1300.
- Release the WPS button when the Wi-Fi indicator blinks in green.
Confirm that the Wi-Fi indicator lights up in orange.
- Open the Wi-Fi settings on your computer..
For details on how to access Wi-Fi settings, refer to your computer's manual.
- In the window for setting the network (Wi-Fi) function, select the "SER.NO". for iX1300.
If you are asked to enter a security key, enter the "SECURITY KEY" for iX1300.
*The "SER.NO." and "SECURITY KEY" can be found on the label attached to the bottom of iX1300.
- The computer and the ScanSnap are connected directly.
Confirm that the Wi-Fi indicator on iX1300 lights up in green.
- Load documents on the ADF paper chute (cover), then press the [Scan] button to try scanning.
Note:
[For computers]
When your computer is connected to the iX1300 via Wi-Fi Direct Connection, you cannot access the Internet through Wi-Fi. However, if you also connect your computer using a wired LAN cable, you can still access the Internet.
[For mobile devices]
You cannot connect to the Internet while using Direct Connection with the iX1300.
