You can change the settings in the [Extended] window of [ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool] on the computer you want to establish a connection with.

Windows
- Turn on the Wi-Fi switch that is at the back of the iX500.
- Connect the iX500 to a computer via a USB cable and open the cover to turn the power on.
- From the [Start] menu on the computer, click [All apps]
- [ScanSnap Manager] - [ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool] to start up [ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool]. - Click the [Extended] tab, and then click the button to the left of [Wireless LAN setting].
- Select [Select wireless network] or [Use WPS] and configure the settings.
When selecting [Select wireless network], enter the SSID and the encryption key (security key) for your wireless network. - When connected the iX500 to the wireless network, click the [Exit] button in the lower-right of the [ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool] settings window to close the window.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
- Confirm that the Wi-Fi indicator on the iX500 lights up in blue.
macOS
- Turn on the Wi-Fi switch that is at the back of the iX500.
- Connect the iX500 to a computer via a USB cable and open the cover to turn the power on.
- From the Apple menu, click [Go] - [Applications], then [ScanSnap] - [ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool] to start up [ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool].
- Click the [Extended] tab, and then click the button to the left of [Wireless LAN setting].
- Select [Select wireless network] or [Use WPS] and configure the settings.

- Connect the iX500 to a computer via a USB cable and open the cover to turn the power on.
- From the [Start] menu on the computer, click [ScanSnap] - [ScanSnap Home] to start up [ScanSnap Home].
- Click [Settings] - [Preferences] on the upper-left of the [ScanSnap Home] window.
- Select the ScanSnap that is currently connected to the computer from the list of ScanSnap units in [Scanner information] that is located in the [Scanner] tab.
- Click the [Wireless setup] button to start [ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool].
- Click the [Extended] tab, and then click the button to the left of [Wireless LAN setting].
- Select [Select wireless network] or [Use WPS] and configure the settings.
