There are three ways to turn on iX1300.
a. Opening the ADF paper chute (cover)
b. Pressing the [Scan] button on the scanner
c. Inserting a document into the manual feeder
If the scanner does not turn on, check the following:
<For a, b, and c>
- Are you using the AC adapter bundled with the scanner?
- Is the AC adapter firmly and securely inserted into the AC adapter slot of the scanner?
Also, is the AC cable firmly and securely inserted into the AC adapter?
- Can the scanner be turned on after you remove the AC adapter from the AC adapter slot of the scanner and reinsert it?
- If you are using a power strip or extension cord, can the scanner be turned on after you plug the power cable directly into an outlet in your room without using the power strip or extension cord?
<For a>
- Is the ADF paper chute (cover) opened fully?
- Is the extension (document holder) in the ADF paper chute (cover) rising?
<For c>
If you inserted a document such as a semi-transparent document (e.g. tracing paper), thin document, or transparent sheet into the manual feeder, can the scanner be turned on after you insert a document other than the above (a non-transparent, slightly thick document such as copy paper or a postcard)?
