This error may occur in some conditions below.
Please try any of the following troubleshooting to see if the issue can be resolved.
- The glass sections are dirty.
[Solution]
Open the top cover and clean the glass on the top cover side and on the opposite side.

Note: Please select your model from the home icon in the upper left.
- Using an improper AC adapter (Excluding iX100).
[Solution]
If you are using an AC adapter made by another company, use the AC adapter that came with the product.
Note: The genuine AC adapter has "PFU Limited" written on the upper left or center of the label.
- Connection problem between the scanner and a PC.
[Solution]
Disconnect all cables from the ScanSnap, wait 10 minutes, then reconnect them and turn the power on again.
- Power supply problem.
[Solution]
If you are using a power strip, plug the scanner power cable directly into a wall outlet.
- The remaining battery power is low (Only for iX100).
[Solution]
Connect the iX100 to a computer via a USB cable and wait until battery charging is complete (the battery indicator lights up in blue) before using it.
If the problem still persists, contact a local subsidiary near you as repair may be required.
