The Wi-Fi indicator on ScanSnap is lit in orange when Wi-Fi connection fails.
[Attention]
- If "WPA3" is selected for the security protocol for the network name (SSID) on the wireless router side, iX1300/iX100 cannot be connected. Select "WPA2" as the security protocol to connect ScanSnap to the wireless access point.
- The iX100 supports 2.4 GHz SSID.
Note: 5 GHz SSID is not supported.
[Preparation]
Update the firmware of your ScanSnap to the latest version.

Check whether your ScanSnap can connect to the SSID of a wireless router via Wi-Fi by referring to the following solutions 1 to 3.
1. Check if the security key for the SSID to connect to a Wi-Fi network is correct
2. Restart the wireless router
3. Check the wireless router settings

Check if the security key for the SSID to connect to a Wi-Fi network is correct
Follow the steps that follows to configure the Wi-Fi settings in ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool.

If the following window appears after setting, the security key you entered may be incorrect.

1. Check the security key(*) of the wireless router that you want to connect to.
2. Using ScanSanp Wireless Setup Tool, configure the Wi-Fi settings again and enter the security key.
3. Make sure the Wi-Fi connection is established.
If the Wi-Fi connection fails after entering the security key, the WPS function can be used to connect. For details, refer to here.*: The security key may be described as an "encryption key" or a "Wi-Fi password" depending on the wireless router used.
macOS
1. Check the security key(*) of the wireless router that you want to connect to.
2. Using ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool, configure the Wi-Fi settings again and enter the security key.
3. Make sure the Wi-Fi connection is established.

Restart the wireless router
Some of the functions of the wireless router may be freezing.
Try restarting the wireless router.

Check the wireless router settings

Is the number of devices connected to the wireless router exceeding the maximum number of devices that can be connected?
If the limit is exceeded, disconnect other devices connected to the same network, and then configure the Wi-Fi settings for ScanSnap again.

Have you enabled stealth mode on your wireless router?
Disable stealth mode and try to connect ScanSnap again.

Have you configured MAC address filtering on your wireless router?
If configured, register the MAC address of your ScanSnap.

Is the number of devices connected to the wireless router exceeding the maximum number of devices that can be connected?
