It has been detected that ScanSnap Home does not work properly under the following conditions:
- CrowdStrike is installed.
- Windows 11 Update (KB5055523) is installed.
Please try in an environment that does not meet the above conditions to confirm if the problem occurs.
If the problem does not occur, this may be due to the CrowdStrike security.
Problem description
- Unable to connect the ScanSnap by USB or Wi-Fi.
- Pressing the Scan button will respond nothing.
- No ScanSnap is found during setup.
- Performance of ScanSnap Home becomes slow.

Workaround
Follow the steps below to register the ScanSnap Home modules to Sensor Visibility Exclusions (SVE) of CrowdStrike follow the steps below.
- Open CrowdStrike SVE settings screen.
- Set the parameter below at the SVE settings screen as an exclusion pattern.
Program Files (x86)\PFU\ScanSnap\Home\** - Restart the PC. Do not to choose shutdown.
- Start ScanSnap Home and confirm that a scanner works properly.
