If a pop-up appears when you start ScanSnap Home
If the following "Important Notice" pop-up appears when you start ScanSnap Home, click the [Open now] button.
The Preferences window opens. Check whether the firmware version is the latest.

If the firmware is already up to date
After closing all ScanSnap Home windows, start ScanSnap Home again.
When the "Important Notice" pop-up appears, clear the checkbox for "Show this message when ScanSnap Home starts up", and then click the [Later] button.
After that, the pop-up no longer appears.
If you keep receiving firmware update notification emails
Even if the firmware has already been updated to the latest version, you may still receive firmware update notification emails due to timing differences.
To make sure, check whether the firmware of your ScanSnap is the latest version. For how to check the version and update the firmware, see How to Update Firmware.
If the firmware is up to date but you still receive update notification emails
By performing the following steps, our system can confirm that the scanner has been updated to the latest firmware, and you will no longer receive update notification emails.
- Open "Preferences" in ScanSnap Home.
- Select the "Scanner" tab on the left, and check that the connection type is shown as "Wi-Fi" or "USB x.x".
- Select the "Account" tab on the left, sign out of your ScanSnap account, and then sign in again.
- Scan a document by using ScanSnap Cloud.
If you previously used another ScanSnap
If multiple scanners are registered in ScanSnap Home, the firmware of a scanner that you used previously may not be the latest version.
Take one of the following actions depending on how you plan to use the scanner in the future.

If you will continue using the scanner
Connect the scanner that you previously used, follow the procedure to confirm the firmware version, and update the firmware to the latest version. -
If you will no longer use the scanner
Remove the scanner that you previously used from "Scanner Information" in ScanSnap Home. [HELP]
